Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • looking at a mk4 2.0 Auto

hi guys, just a quick un.

my Sis-in-law is looking for a new car. one car she's looking for is the 2.0 auto's. Has anyone got any experience/advice what to look for when inspecting, any common problems/faults i should know about? How are the auto's? trouble free or what?

she's looking for ones like this one

    thanks in advance.

      lol.. that's cause you're a pom robin..

i helped a mate get into a 20v NA audi a3 for 14 grand about 6 months ago.. it had leather and a whole bunch of other niceties and pretty paint. they're the same car as the mk4 but audi owners i would think are *somewhat* more tentative with their driving.
