Where can i buy this type of intake from? prefer copy to save some money.. is it 2.5" or 3" for a 99 model gti?

AEM have an Australian distributor. They're not cheap though. Nearly BMC CDA prices from memory.
Alternatively Neuspeed do a similar CAI setup. Renenhaus who are sponsors on here are an importer for them.
I think APR do the Cabonio intakes for the MkIV GTI as well which is also of the same design. Guy_H on here (Harding Performance) is the official importer of those.
Not sure of other brands that do similar intakes but I'm sure there are more.

AEM intakes are all over ebay
about $350+ shipping.
can always get a chinese copy, should do the trick i dont see why not! just dont run a k&n and make sure you run a dry filter like an aem or something!
mind you, you will need a bypass valve too and if you dont have one and get caught in these rains you might have a chance of hydrolock! so far ive been VERY lucky..What’s behind you doesn’t matter..
