      Hey mate,

Congrats on your purchase of Dave's RS R32.

He just told me you picked it up last week.

      Hope you are enjoying it.

We both bought our .R's around the same time (that's how we met), purchased the ottienger grills at the same time too.

      Cheers,
      Tommy

Nice one Tommy. You modified yours any further than the grill? I am absolutely loving it so far. We should organise a Sydney R32 drive sometime.

Yeah, got V2 coilovers , BBS CH's and GIAC Flash.

A nice cruise/drive with a few .:R's would be awesome.

What are your plans for your new beast?

I am really keen to keep it pretty stock. Spent a fortune modifying my Jeep and keen to avoid that again. If anything i'd do the Haldex module and maybe a dogbone mount. Will see what happens though. Open to suggestions of cheap but worthwhile things...

I read of someone using a golf tee to plug it on a MkV R32. Do you reckon this would work on the MkIV? It's on my list for tomorrow. Don't have my jars of screws anymore but have plenty of tee's at hand.

You need something that is going to grip the inside of the rubber vacuum hose, a golf tee being smooth you would have to secure it from working it's way out where you will find that a screw with fine machine threads on it the threads grip the sides of the rubber hose and form a great seal.

I have had mine done since the day I picked up the car from the dealer in Feb 2004 and the screw has never come out.

                      Cheers Al

As Quozl says.....use a self tapper or similar screw.

When I traded mine, I put it back to stock for the first since the day I purchased it, then the dealer said..nah do the mod again it sounds better !!!

                        Cheers
                        Dave.

No worries. Wasn't sure which end the pressure was coming from but had a hunch a tee would not be the best. Thanks for the advice.
