  • Help needed regarding R32 MK4 Wheels

    Hi Guys

Just need someone to confirm what the PCD is on the MK4 R32 wheels??
I went into Barloworld to ask today and they have no idea! The guy even asked what PCD means

I've looked around on google but im getting mixed results, some say 5 x100 and others say 5 x112 which is it??

Im sure you all know what the wheels look like but heres a pic anyway

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Paul

      Mk4 is 5x100 mate.
Also the ET38 is the offset.

The PCD is 5x100 (the same as all other MkIV Golfs).
ET38 is the wheel offset. Basically how far the wheels stick in or out. Informative Link
PCD of 5x112 is for MkV Golfs.
Also for added interest the wheels are Oz Racing Aristos. I think the original European spec cars rim's were made by someone else but the US and Australian Rs are Oz. I maybe wrong on that though (there have been two manufacturers anyway). quozl or graeme86 will know for sure.
        Cheers,
        Trent

I have a set of Mk IV R32 rotors at home that I can confirm that with.

I know it to be true, but if I measure it and report back, and maybe even take photos, it'll be hard for people to argue otherwise (and you know someone will try...).

I suppose the guy that you've talked to is only responsible to sell you car tinting package when you buy their new VW

btw I can confirm Mk4 R32 wheel PCD is 5x100, i have one set still sitting in my garage.

intersting you mention that as my intentions are to put them on a wrx.....

                    * waits for a thrashing *

Just how wrong is the offset? and what model wrx was it? I got the wheels cheap..... very, very cheap so i thought i may aswell get them sprayed charcoal and put them on. I pick them up this weekend so i guess i'll find out on saturday or sunday.

Subaru offset is somewhere around +45 to +50 IIRC.

You may also have issues with the centre bore (may require hubcentric rings), as I think Subaru use a smaller centre bore than VW).

Thats right, his wheels wouldnt fit on my car. So he got to take a photo with my wheels and we put them back on my car

R32 rims were made by Ronal or OZ racing....some cars had 4 OZ, some had 4 Ronal and some had a mixture although this was mainly in the USA. All Aussie cars I have seen have a full set of Ronal made rims.

                            Cheers
