The rims were from Moorebank, Big O's they did a pretty good deal if I remember correctly and the tires have done well so far despite the power. I'm looking forward to the forged internals though 300 odd kw's at the front wheels should be good

                    gti awd

ive come to the decision that im converting my gti into awd, and s3 wreck will source the majority of parts including the 6 speed gb, looking at some serious work, a couple have done it in uk few, it can be done ,2 years im aiming to have it done by then 1st awd gti in oz? the reason behind this is simple, the car will not be able to handle its hp after i put internals in and crank boost, no tracion is possible front wheel drive can only go so far....ill keep you updated guys

You can make around 300whp before traction is a major problem. Its all in the suspension tuning and vehicle dynamics.

mate thats what im pretty much at now, the cars quick really quick but a lot of hp is going down the toilet, its just the limit of fwd you cant do much.

The car is making that much and more already, and it spins in fourth It'll benefit monumentally from this kind of build

update: head and block seperated block stripped ready for machining. Aircon delete achieved. New isaka alternator. Head striped valves and springs awaiting removal. Head and manifold marked for port match. Will be endeavoring to port match old inlet as a learning experience. Still require 1.8t head cutaway to study ports and disturbances of flow and venturi inside the head. from what i can tell there is little points to improve on as the design is pretty good oem. Will post pics and diagrams soon!
