So it finally happened. Defect with road worthy.
Came back to the car with a notice under the windscreen.
Too low. Wheels touching chassis. Wheels beyond guards.
So about 800$ later by the time i replaced the sump, new windscreen, suspension swap. abt v1s on, removed some of the front camber etcetcetc i got it cleared. Coughed up more money at vicroads and copped a ear full for not presenting the car when clearing the defect.
Left it on the stock suspension. Handles like a boat without the bilsteins and conti bags keeping it planted firmly.
Until last night... threw the management back in along with the rear bags. Hopefully a refresh to the seals on the front struts and they will go back in later this evening.

So expensive! How much of a hassle to take out the air system to get cleared? Everything have to come out?

Struts and bags out. Management out. Left all the lines and wires in the car and just tucked them into the body. Dean at volkwerke helped me out with the struts and made life so much easier

Seen this unique beast on the back of a towie today.
What happened ?Originally posted by MightyCarModsI'd rather lose by a mile because I built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me. Your car is your story, so don't let someone else write the book.

So bora had a much needed wheel alignment post road worthy and re bagging the rear.
camber was matching each side at 1.5deg but toe was all over the place. made the car super sketchy at anything over 80km/h.
blew another tail light globe (dont know how many of these iv replaced over the years), seems to have blown normally rather then the burnt globes I was getting. think the burnt globes was from vibrations caused by the compressors?
passenger low beam had been a bit hit and miss for a while, found a loose connection on the ballast connector.
