Email Notifications Failing (mostly Telstra)
Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
Yeah I know Tim... I tried to do it before ilv by straightening out the old one, but it was just too far gone to make it fit nicely.
Going to keep a eye out for a straight second hand one.
Now to decide what wheels to finish/build next and get the rest of the car back together
So you planning on getting the air ride engineered? What does that involve, surely that means it can't be lowered while driving. You can only air it down when your parked? Looks so good, I need to get my arse into gear and bag mine. You've given me motivation!!
whenever I can afford it. haha. Hoping to have the sensors installed and ready to go soonish.
Im already getting annoyed with having to get the car sitting 'right' after having it aired out for parking, so it wont be long before its a one button setup.
In Vic the car has to lift up to 100mm clear (same as any car) once the engine is started or a gear is engaged from memory.
so yes, 100mm min when rolling.
More about getting your wallet into gear. Took me a long time to save the money up for these while saving for a house as a main priority.

haha yeah I know what you mean. I've been saving for a year for a big month and a half trip to the USA so I've had zero money to spend on the gti lately. Althought I do have some New Number plates coming and a front genuine bumper from Japan of all places! Also while I'm in the states thinking of getting a Gonzo tune and take my Ecu with me.

ooo does that mean the front bumper has a smaller recess?
Dylan, thought I'd show my love for your car on here too!
Love it, love it, and more love for it.
Thanks again for the help after ILV, appreciate it!
Anytime dude!
Stu took some quick pics while I was filling up and fixing his brake light outage (standard bora thing it seems...)
Hopefully going to get my 3rd gauge this week which will mean I have a visual on the tank pressures.
also installing a kill switch for the compressors in the cabin, cos nothing worse then then firing up when near police etc.
Hopefully re routing my rear lines tomorrow as iv already rubbed through one and have a slow leak.
seems when I air out it the line gets a tighter bend in it and JUST touches a metal plate on the back of the rear spring surround.
New wheels hopefully back from the sand blasters soon and painted for VITS
Ill most likely stick to these all winter in true euro style.
Someone should buy my merc or teledials or aristos

Yeah it does have a shorter recess. Its fully painted and I got it for under 200 bucks shipped to my door... haha. Seemed like a good deal, might try my hand at shaving the front rubstrip on my existing one for a bit of fun! Also picked up a set of headlights off gumtree for 20 bucks, with all clips in tact, except one smashed lens. But I will just swap mine over.
Ps. Did you buy those AC schnitzer Type 1's of gumtree? I was literally emailing the dude about offsets and stuff and someone snatched them up before I could say I wanted them!!!! All I could think about was, BET THAT WAS DYLAN! haha
Mind PM me when you go the bumper from?
I might need some new bits soon.
Nar no ACs here sadly
iv pretty much banned myself from buying wheels for the rest of the year.
Bora needs a timing belt and water pump service, and im pretty sure one of the CVs or bearings is on its way out, just have to work out what it is

Frick damn, would of loved seeing them on a Mk4 is Aus. They went for 500 bucks!! Was so gutted I missed out. You sure its not just axle bind? surely you would have HEAPS riding that low?
Loving the pictures btw, when I'm up in VIC I'd love to come see this thing!
Nar no axel bind.
I get the noise aired up too. but depending on what height it actually goes away.
Some points when its fairly low there is no noise, go up a bit, the noise comes back, air up more it goes away...
Cheers. Pics make it out to be more then it is. paint is trashed and im rather annoyed at the lack of lows in the front atm and I cant really do anything about it until I get the elevel engineered.
Hit me up when you are in melbourne
