I wanna get this done too eventually. how much did it set you back incl shipping?Originally posted by JedR32 View Posthaha I'd say other than keeping the rears engaged during braking the difference would be unidentifiable between the two on public roads.
However having the rears engaged during braking is AWESOME! It makes the whole car super stable and you can brake a fair bit later due to that and the slight extra mechanical braking you get.
The car also responds to heel toeing better due to this
Great upgrade in my opinion Matt!1991 BMW 318is RED E30

Picked it up tonight and had a good blast and I like it! Throttle response is heaps better and no flat spot around the 3000/3500 revs.Originally posted by Big_M View PostNice, tell us if you notice and how you find the difference when you've had it done and been out for a blast mate.

1200 all up, unit, shipping and fitting ! thats alright.Originally posted by JedR32 View PostIncluding having it fitted it was about $1200

If the price of the unit it self was less than a grand "aud" not including shipping charges then i don't think you will see a bill !
Where did you get it ? HPA ? who you get to fit it ?

Thats what ****s me to tears the flat spot of the normal tune. Can't wait to get rid of that, that's for sure. Just not yet sure of which tune i'll go for.Originally posted by BHardstaff View PostPicked it up tonight and had a good blast and I like it! Glad you like it mate.
We'll soon have just about every QLD R32 with a different tune !

Haha yes it's so much better with no flat spot. I think the other tunes are a bit more aggressive but my wife drives it to work so I went for the smoother one.Originally posted by Big_M View PostThats what ****s me to tears the flat spot of the normal tune. And I had Mike Weber at Prestige and Performance do it, he did it the day it arrived while I waited
Great bloke and does a top job along with knowing heaps about the MK4 R32's, I strongly recommend him!

Used a Repco-brand headlight-restoration kit...and it was a disaster, the crazing on my headlight lense glass was only minor, and the sandpaper, even the wet-dry superfine paper scratched the crap out of my passenger's side headlight...so it it now wrecked!
DEFINITELY not worth using, save yourself the $25 and spend it in new lenses if your headlight lenses are crazed/stained.

Got got the updates for my tune loaded onto my ecu this morning. The car feels really smooth now at part throttle and is holding 21psi at 6500rpm

My detailing guy tried much the same technique but it only came back again after 6 months. Think the best thing to do would be invest in some glass lensesOriginally posted by dylan8 View Postdont you have a bora...? if so the lense should be plastic not glass...
