I need to save money up for the baby and another house so no more car game for me =[ But I'll be back in the future with a vengeance! I will probably be keeping the Bora though as it's got every feature I look for in a car (besides fuel economy).

Btw I haven't looked but the Bora should have ISOFIX right? My next mod will be a Recaro baby seat.
    Photo with stockies on!!
Bora's a good car for baby duties, the boot's a decent size.
The isofix or child seat latch might be just mounting points on aussie vehicles

Such a sweet mod, should've been standard.

Put some fusion wiper blades on the Bora
Got some light scratches on the windscreen, has anyone used a polish or something to really clean the windscreen?

Seen it done many times!!! You'll have to remove the entire trim as the rear is the first part that needs to be fitted as it hooks into the roof if you try to fold it you may leave a crease!!!

yeah was dropping on long drives. Didn't fix the problem though unfortunately. Looks like my thermostat is stuck open.

Attempted to instal the springs and shocks last night. Too hard to break done the shocks to swap them over with basic hand tools.

              • Thought I should chime in here... Yes they have the isofix points... I used them for my sons clip in capsule holder, hes now in a forward facing chair and uses the rear latch point and seatbelt.

The Bora seems like the perfect car and size for a baby.

Yep I've done my research and the baby is conveniently due in the new year.

But will the laws apply to older cars ? or only cars presented for ADR ISO-FIX approval from 2013 ?

From what I've been reading it seems existing cars should be fine but I haven't read anything definitive as it is assumed and seems to be a non-issue.

In either case it's a safer system so i would still use it, legal or grey area..

                        • Look what I came home to today !

Anyone have experience sourcing a new tail light ? These are 'smoked' or something ? GTI is different from standard, should I be getting a pair so they both have the same sun fade etc

                          Help me out.

                          • There were some Hella tail lights on ebay recently, maybe check that out. Don't think they are smoked, but could be wrong.

                            • id just get a new pair. would be easier unless you can find one near by at a wreckers.
check out ECS, they sell genuine Hella gear. sometimes need to modify the back of the lights if they are US spec tho to enable fog lights (as i found out..)
