Sure it works, but you're paying for someone elses knowledge (which in some cases can be questionable). I'd rather get all the relevant information if i don't know it already and do it my own way with my own hands doing the work as much as possible. Much more satisfying and much, MUCH cheaper.

I salute you, Jay. You're very smart, skilled, and a cool guy to boot. 'Some' people should take more notice of guys like you.
Completely agree. I tend to jump in on the DIY with everything on my car, unless it's TOO much to do. I don't remember the last time someone else did something on my car though...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this car is absolutely wicked and I will hate you forever. :p

i would say solenoid boot pops they are similar to how a cetral locking system works press a button and i unlocks the fiddly part is opening without a grab handle but the boot is so smooth

        • I used the same solenoid that pops the gas door to pop the boot/hatch and it plugs right into the vw harness. I just had to make a few small brackets to mount it. So I can pop it from my factory vw(.:R) remote and the drivers side door switch.

            • I installed one of the front brakes, the other one is still drying. I'm waiting for the exhaust shop to come pick up the car to do the exhaust and wastegate and weld some of the Awic piping, But in the mean while I'm still tiding up some small things in the engine bay and I need to install the other brake and raise up the coilovers a bit for the exhaust shop.

What's being stenciled onto the side of it?

                        • nice one Jay, looks hot man .. love the colour as well, same as the rest of your theme! (just like the colour in general haha).

6 pot porsche cayenne they look like, makes my 4 pot look tinnyyyyy (which they are in comparison) hehe.

the 4pots made a huge different, very sensitive and stocks well. i dont even want to imagine how quick the 6'ers stop!

                              • The front and rear calipers are off a Vw Toureg, but they are the same as the Q-7 and the Cayenne and a few other porsches
