Urgent!! Broken Dipstick..how To Fix? Will This Cause Problems??

i changed my oil and replaced my oil filter...

I used MOTUL 4100 TURBOLIGHT 10W-40 which is VW approved.. and it seems to be going very good...

HOWEVER!!

after coming back from a drive.. i went to check my oil levels, and the tublar pipe that the dipstick pushes into broke and snapped into pieces.. leaving almost have the dipstick to be hanging freely ..

just wondering is there any1 who has experienced this.. and will this cause any issues.. also how and what are the best ways to fix this matter

Yeah, had the same thing happen to me, it gets brittle with age I guess, especially when you compare the colour of a new one to the oldie!!!

How to fix and the best way to fix are the same, go buy a new one from vw, or from a wreckers if you want the cheaper option and replace it. Just remove the remainder carefully so you don't get any little bits of plastic into you fresh oil
