INA, could you please provide us with the type of rubber that is used in your mounts?

I'm interested in finding out so I can make a proper informed decision instead of just buying what everyone else is without knowing what it's actually like

What is it with this forum and aggressive people?
who said anything about aggressive he's already stated the pricing and people are crying poor.

Shouldnt have bought a VW if you cant afford to mod it properly.

you have to pay to play

        wow....

Im new here and all and possibly out of line...

        BUT

this thread is a f'n mess and its ugly.... dont understand why you got to have a go at someone for not wanting to buy a $100 mount. on the same note if you want an item your either in or not. its simple.

saying all that. you shouldnt advertise your product ( however similar ) in a group buy thread...(isnt that hijacking or something) and regarding the mount Im still unsure about the aussie version, whether its comparable or what the price is delivered ( with the vww. discount that was promised)

And it was all going so well, considering we had 9 places already sorted.

        tell me if Im wrong...

Sounds like things improved over the previous post.

I'm yet to install mine from the first GB! It'll go on with wheels, suspension and brakes...
                Nothing to see here...

GB was reduced to 6 and the supplier (INA) graciously honoured the GB price. Lets just say, it could have gone better.

Thats a lot of changes at once, you wont know the car after you fit all those! Have you decided on susp yet?

Having a go with nashan's K-Sport coilovers (bought them on ebay) - for the money, they're well worth a shot. If they're not for me, I'll replace them with something else.

Special thanks to goodfella and INA for letting this group buy happen! I was very impressed with the turnaround time and product itself.

Now for those who missed out, you should be kicking yourselves because this is a very cheap, simple and effective mod to do. It really is a must for any passionate Golf/Bora driver.

It literally only takes about five minutes to install (excluding jacking up the car). Undo four bolts (2 x 13mm, 2 x 5/8"), remove old dogbone mount, replace dogbone mount and tighten up four bolts to correct Nm.

Straight away I noticed gear changes were smoother and power delivery is much more effective. Wheel hop is basically gone - I revved to 4k rpms and took off with some tyre screeching but none of the awful hopping I still believe it will bed in some more so I will update in a couple of weeks if I notice the change. Even my girlfriend noticed it was much firmer when taking off. Very nice. I like.

Also for those interested in comfort, it is no different to normal. I can't even tell if it's worse when the aircon is on.

Thanks again goodfella and INA. I'm very satisfied

I'm loving the feel of my car more and more after this dogbone! It really does improve the take off (less torque steer which I find weird) and gear changes are much better - shifting both up and down.

I'll give another update if I notice any other changes.

How did everyone else find their Dub after the new dogbone?

I fit the dogbone to my bora this morning and I hate to double post, but I have to echo dubbed's words exactly!

It has transformed the driving experience to pure pleasure!

If anyone is deliberating over getting one...STOP and Just do it! And any Sydneysiders are welcome to a test drive if your still unsure.

I am happy to help source more if the interest is there.

                          Cheers,
                          Dave
