  • EOI: Dogbone mounts GB

As I missed the last group buy, I am thinking of organizing another Group Buy for the same dogbone mounts that XXX18T sourced.

Here is the original GB thread:
    http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...hlight=dogbone

Going by the comments, these appear to be well worth the upgrade, so let me know if your interested, then we can confirm final pricing.

**** Confirmed group buy pricing is US$82 if we order 10 or more units and as before, we would like to keep it around AU$1000 for customs reasons.

** UPDATE** These mounts come in Street and Track versions..ie stiffness, Street is highly recommended for daily drives. Unless specified, I will assume Street mounts.

We need a minimum of 10 to get a great discount

The Group Buyer list so far:
    1. Goodfella
    2. Fury
    3. Dubbed
    4.
    5.
    6.
    7.
    8.
    9.
    10.

    Cheers,
    Dave

I'll take one for the Bora if we can get it for $100 like the previous GB

Given the currency exchange rates, realistically we are currently looking about $140 + shipping... so hopefully with increased numbers we might do better.

Would this be worth putting on my car if it has no other mods yet? it's a Golf Sport if that makes a difference.

                        Put me down.

Can any of the guys who got a dogbone mount in the last group buy tell us if the street is firm enough? Did anyone get a track density mount?

This is from INA on Vortex:

The track density dogbone offers minimal slop in the set up.I found from personal experience that the street density engine and transmission mount + the track density dog bone is the perfect combination.

I wonder if the track density dogbone mount is too much on its own...

Also can someone please confirm that these are rubber and not urethane stuff??

I got the street one, and while it was noticeably different when I installed it, I don't even notice it now and wish that is was a bit firmer. I would want to know the shore hardness of both before making a decision. I think the Street was 50A (stock is 45A), I would stay away from Track (for street use) if its more than 65A.

Maybe I should get the other mounts too?? Is there any option available through this supplier for uprated versions of the other 2 mounts?
