  • HELP... Limp Mode!

    Hey Guys

Drove out this morning from home, CEL + ESP light came on, notorious limp mode and I drove back in and took the mrs car...

    WTF?

    Car is a v6 4mo.

I'm assuming MAF or 02 sensor?

Anyone around Glen Wav have vag comm ?

my o2 sensor is faulty, has been for 6 weeks now (still waiting on VW's call back with the part - it's been 4 weeks , they said 4 days). i've been informed a faulty o2 sensor will not send the car into limp mode so i wouldn't imagine it would be that.

Also, there have been times where i do a turn, wait for traffic to pass, put the foot down to increase revs, let the clutch slowly go... and the car bogs down like no tomorrow...

I reckon all centers around the bloody MAF...

Sounds likely, did you get it scanned?

Disconect your MAF and see what happens. The car will still run with no MAF input but the car will go crazy with a wrong MAF input.
