    IMHO.

    Overpriced, over weight & underpowered!

If that's what you call a performance car, then so be it I suppose.

As far as I have read, the R32 motor is not FSI.

Now that's a bit harsh ain't it? But each to there own, I'm not going to take it personally, nor am I going to get into a big argument about it. All I will say is that it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it and I love it.

I believe that from 2005 when the 3.6L was introduced, both the 3.2L and 3.6L got FSI. Nowhere near certain about this though.

For those interested, that wonderful source of technically correct and accurate information, Wikipedia has a reasonable entry about the VR6 engine.

        Cheers,

As long as you love it, that's the main thing Trent.

Don't get me wrong. Out of all the R32's the Mk4 is by far my favorite.

I don't rate the new R32 too much.

I just reckon there's a heap more bang for your buck out there.

Didn't mean to offend anyone. That's just my opinion.

                  This is correct.

The R32 engine does not have the FSI setup. This is basically the same setup as a Bora 4 Motion.

The R36 does have FSI though.

The FSI setup on the V6's was first introduced in the 3C (current version) Passat about a year after it was released. Long before the R36!
