  • new wheels and ride height...

    hey all got some new wheels (fr16's) and new ride height.
    here's some pictures: (sorry about the bad quality will get some better ones tomorrow)




    that is the lowest i can go at the rear, the front needs to come down about a inch still.

        We don't see that colour in Mk4 Golf too often.

          Mmm Simmons FRs, one of my favourite wheels. Funny that I've never considered them on a Golf! *Dreams of deep dish FR17/18s on a MKIV*

              looks good mate. only thing i'd suggest is get some dark tint and colour code the bump strips and lower skirt....then you'd have a very nice clean LOOOOOOW ride!

                thanks all for the comments, i have been thinking about colour coding it but most of my money going into my type 3 at the moment. the fr's would have to be one of my fav wheels, i actually bought them to put on a subaru brumby/wrx conversion where doing but have found there way onto the golf until its finished. the colour is different but has grown on me. its got compressed rears and sl kings upfront but the ride isn't the best, if i decide to keep it i get some coilovers.

                  Hey Steve, I would love to see more pics. of your Type 3, as it looks very similar to one that a friend owned back in Melbourne about 10 years ago....

                    hey the one in my aviator is a 69 model, which i built about 4-5yrs ago which has since been sold. i have two 64 squares now which will hopefully be finished soon.

                        Daaamn, on 16's and it's tucking tyre at the rears! That's seriously low for a Mk4. Any better pics yet??
