i tried getting to the parker lights, and it was close to impossible on the driver side, and i'd imagine even harder on the battery side.

anyone have tips on changing the parker lights?

You've got to get your hands in there nice and tight. I'm sure it's not as bad as the R as you don't have the Xenon ballast to worry about. Have a look in my thread again (towards the beginning) for some photos from when I changed mine.
      Cheers,

Sounds strange, but the easiest way is to remove the whole front bumper. After doing it once, I can now have the bumper off in2 mins, literally!! Then you just pull out the headlight and BAM!, you're done.

Just remember you need a set of TORX drivers....

Lucky you. I've got about 30 torx screws to undo in the wheel arches, the undertray and grill to get the bastard off. Not fun at all.

That looks like a hard way!!!!

Step 1: Remove the smaller (T20 i think) torx screws that attatch the inner guard liners to the front bumper. Do this easily by turning the wheels one way, then the other so you can get your favourite battery drill in there!

Step 2: Pop out your 2 vent things in the lower part of your bumper, there are 2 large Torx screws in there, i can't remeber the size though. Remove them. DO NOT do what the vwvortex article says, our euro bumpers are only held on by 2 Torx in this area, no bolts.

Step 3: Some people will say to remove your grill, i just pop mine up and out and gently work around it. If you want, you can remove it. Then you will see another 5 large Torx screws, rove them and your bumper will slide off. If you have fogs, you may have to unplug them, depending on how much wire there is, i don't have forgs so it's not a problem for me.

If you have any probs, i could probably do a mini tutorial for it, maybe something for the FAQ section......

Yeah, I timed it last night, 2mins, 14secs to remove the front bumper! Tho that's not including getting all my tools set up and the front jacked up...

I don't think you can get yellow bulbs in stores here... I've been looking for them EVERYWHERE and can't find them. The only places i've seen them are online (ebay etc). It's usually the lense itself that's yellow..

                            yeah does look shiny!

                            here's a front on pic.

notice how the front bonnet line is abit high above the light? i noticed this when cleaning it tonight.
then i realised "crap, THAT'S where the fog light case and old bulbs is!"

i fricken left that huge bulb packet on top of the car battery, no-wonder it was a bitch to close!!!!
