What rubber did you go with?

My Mum's Passat has the OEM +1 option (17x7.5) on 45 series and it is a big improvement over stock. I didn't find the ride compromised at all, not crashy or uncomfortable either.

How're you finding these ones so far?

Ahh sweet, what did you get?... Yeah unfortunetly the ride has been effected, It's not too bad but noticably more harsh than it was before

I was pleasantly surprised at the difference going to the 225/45-17 made to Mum's Passat, without compromising ride or noise. She runs Pirelli Dragons.

I've driven on 40 series before (as my GF has 215/40-17 Kumho 711s on her Corolla) and I don't find the ride particularly harsh. Not as plush as 55 series of course, but hardly uncomfortable.

Wheels look great mate, real improvment. I to have a bora but mine is sitting on oem 17's and i lowered mine with eibach 60mm sportline springs and it sits and treat. Eibach also sell shocks to suit these springs aswell. Good luck
