Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Yaw rate sensor refurb.

I've done a little poking around and found nothing. I did try so if i missed it just know i did try.
I've had an auto elec come back with a yaw rate sensor intermittent fault, also an abs fault but I assume one is causing the other.
VW has quoted $1400 for a new one which I don't like alot.
I have found refurbished ones from the UK for a better price.
Before I buy one from there I just wonder, does anyone in Aus sell refurbed ones or do the refurbishment if you send yours in.
    I appreciate any advice.

    Edit: For a 2004 Bora.

    Part number is 1JO907657B

Not heard of anyone that fixes them. Although it could be as easy as a dry joint or as bad as a totally rotten circuit board I'd buy from the UK
