Today at lunch i was bored so i decided to play with the v-checker. I accessed the brake electronics function (with ignition on) and the handbrake light and the ABS light started flashing. I starterd the car and took it for a drive. Talk about torque steer and burnouts!!!! Unbeliavable!!! Its going on a dyno tomorrow
yeh i too am a little confused as to what you actually changed, but awesome, burnouts in an AWD is always fun
VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

i didn't change anything. I just plugged the v-checker in and accessed the brake electronics. After i unplugged it, it all went back to normal.
Unfortunately i didn't put it on the dyno this morning, i wasn't sober enough
There is always a next time
Not sure if this is the same as vag-com but when you access the abs controller with vag-com, it disables the haldex system and all of the other electronic aids. Thus the reason you were able to do burnouts etc.

Thats right. I was wondering if it truly disconnects the back wheels. I wanna get it on a dyno, but i dont want the back wheels to start getting power
Isn't there a fuse for the Haldex? I'm pretty sure a lot of the vortex guys have pulled the fuse when they get their car dynoed to see what the power is at the front wheels only.
Yeah there is a fuse im sure from memory its 31
Remember and clear your code when you are finished , in haldex and also in gateway ecu
Cheers

What's the point in knowing how much power you have at the front wheels if you drive on the road with all four anyway?
Because for some reason people think that dyno results are the be and end all of performance results. Your dyno **** is much bigger in fwd mode as you only have around 15%-20% losses through the drivetrain. Losses with the haldex it goes up to around 30%.
