        g'day Rhys,

I disagree with yr statement there too. i own 2 modded cars and i dont thrash them. Neither have been to the drags either. I enjoy driving them and pushing them occasionally, I love the sound, their presence (appearance), but doesnt mean I give them a hard time - (I cant afford the repairs!!! LOL!))

I'm firmly in this group as well, 99% of the time I absolutely baby my car, then for the occasional 1% I push her a bit. For me, my car is a hobby, I like doing some modding, I like keeping it looking good, I like discussing all this stuff with you guys, but I'm not a race car driver and my car is not a race car, so it never gets thrashed, ever.

Agree with Gareth & Snowy too. I've been down the quarter mile and done a skinpan once, but if I wanted to race I go gokarting! Not willing to break my own car and have to foot the bill after.

Good luck with the sale Adrian, like i said on the other forum, pity you've only had it such a short time, and screw what anyone else thinks about it

Shame you have to sell it. That's the problem with having a "spare" or toy car, it's hard to find time to drive it!

I love my toy, and I drive it hard (alot) but i'm willing to fix it, and cop the bill. I figure if i'm going to waste money on it, I may as well enjoy it too!
But that's neither here nor there.

                  Good luck with the sale

Yeah ... but ... everyone gets the vehicle they want for the reasons they want. Some 'thrash' them and pay the consequenses ... others pride themselves on owning a very specially (concourse-ready) beautiful cruise car. It's all relative to what you want and use you car far.

For example ... I have put mine around the track at Warwick ... once (which neither makes me a racer, a hoon or a flogger) I drove it within limits that I'd expect it to be able to easily and healthily survive. I haven't 'dragged' it ... yet, but that's not to say I eventually wont.

I've paid for all the modding myself, enjoyed doing it and enjoyed the benefits that have come with it.

But at no time have I ever thrashed the car where I think my bad driving behaviour could negatively impact the overall integrity of the vehicle and I would have no qualms selling it to a mate or family member should the situation arise.

What I'm trying to say (in this long-winded way is ... to each their own and let's not be judgemental). Peace. And fun, safe driving.

                    Dave
