  • R32 Key Fob Range Sucks

    Heyo

Between my GTI and my R32 the Key Fob Range is really sucky on the R32 ie i have to pretty much been right next to it..

and no the batterys arent flat infact they are brand new

the GTI on the other hand on a good day i could open it from 100ft away!

Why is the R32 so sucky is it something to do with the CCM being a 1C0 and not a 1J0

Hmm I find sometimes it acts a bit strange (like the wipers). Sometimes I can just flick it from a decent range and it unlocks/locks. Other times yeah you have to be nearly at it for it to unlock. The remote auto wind down function seems to be a bit vague too. I never have to be right next to it though to get it to unlock.
By the way what's with this 100 foot business? 30 meters my friend. We live in a metric world. Not some ye olde horse and cart, top of the morning to you guvnor world (resists hard to mention Dave Mack).
    Cheers,
    Trent

put it right next to your temple and then try it. doubles your range easy.

not sh*tting you either, it does work.

I'd love to watch people try that in the car park.. And laugh at them.

The range on my Bora is pretty short as well. I mean sometimes it can be long but most of the time it's short.

My friend tested this out. phone a friend on a mobile who is standing next to your car; click your blipper (which is normally out of range) near your phone, and the receiving phone emits the transferred signal and your car pops open!! Unfortunately we didn't try it TOO far away, we just tried it at about double range. I was amazed.
