A/C Intake

Where would the internal A/C intakes be? My air conditioning smells like balloons...

I'm going to attack it with Glen 20... when I find it.

Balloons? I can't remember quite what my heater smells like, but then again my heater core is completely bypassed

Well VW was supposed to clean it out. But I told them to stop everything when I found out what was wrong mechanically with my car...

I didn't think they'd stop the A/C clean out!

Might be worthwhile checking/cleaning/replacing the pollen filter?
From memory, it's under the windscreen in the engine bay, passenger side.
You have to remove the black plastic shroud
