Silly question but at what stage do you pay the tax? I'd assume once it lands in Australia but before its delieved to you?

Another member advised me once it arrives in Aus they work out the "customs value" of the goods then the local carrier (DHL, Toll etc..) contacts you requesting the additional taxes before final delivery.
