Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Bora Haldex issues

Hi guys great info on this forum ,

it it looks like I have a fault with the haldex on my mk4 bora , it's had a recent service .
if I remove the fuse #31 the rear disengages and I can reverse out of parking easily for eg .

What are my options to get this repaired these days ?

    Regards , Neal

If you've already replaced the oil and filter in it, try bedding the clutch plates in again.

Find some open space on a sealed surface, and do some low-speed figure 8s, whilst accelerating through the turns.

Thank you , I'll give that a try . I'm not sure if the problem was there before the Haldex was serviced or not as I've only recently bought the car and found the problem after the cash was handed over .
