  • Whats a Bora 4 Motion worth?

I'm getting close to selling my Borra after 13 years.

I have no idea what it's worth, prices online vary between sad and insane.

It's a 2003 with only 97k on the clock, I'm the second owner and only person who has driven it in 13 years and only once or twice at Lakeside.

    Metalic Black Magic, two-tone interior.

    Serviced by JMac

In the last 10k or so new wheels and P2's, Bilstein shocks and Springs, TT Bushes, slotted rotors (for what thats worth) and just replaced all six coil packs.

Everything still works, a few scratches and some lens glazing is about the worst of it.

Would appreciate any advice on what I should let it go for.

    Cheers

Well it depends how desperate you are in selling it, I think 8-9k is fair.
But you might have wait quite sometime for a buyer.

      Redbook values.

In the last 3 years I've purchased 2.

2004 - 120kms - 1 Owner, full VW service history and full Oettinger body kit. Paid $9k! (I REALLY wanted white and one with a bodykit and it was the only clean one available and the seller was happy to wait for the right sucker.. I mean buyer.. me. My point, it was over priced but I paid it.)

      2004 - 160kms - 2 owners. Full VolksWerk VIC service history, mint condition. Paid $3.5k + rego.

Don't know about you but me personally I find when I tell me I drive a Bora they look at me with utter confusion followed by a "what's that"... Very underestimated car and a little unknown in the gen-pop. Here in Sydney most dwellers want a Auto and something that's cheap on fuel as well in that price bracket, meaning you can pick these up usually for under 5k.

Probably not what you want to hear about I'm thinking somewhere around 6 - 7k for a timely sale without little neg.

A shame it's not white, I'm in the market for my 3rd 4mo! haha

        $2-4k
Hold on for someone special to come along, maybe $5k.
GTIs are selling for 4K or less and people actually know what a GTI is.
        MK4 GTI - Sold
        MK5 Jetta Turbo - Sold
        MK5 Jetta 2.Slow - Until it dies.

          Thanks, Guys,

Sounds like the last time I sold a VW, if you're prepared to wait the right buyer will come along.

There are a few folks out there who know what they are.

          Wish me luck.
