if you are going for coil-overs you will want a final ET30 offset on your wheels otherwise the wheels will rub on suspension on 18x8 or wider. If you Run Bilstein Adjustable suspension even 18x7.5 et35 hit hard up against the Suspension spring location rings.

BTW - awesome looking Jetta especially in white.

    haha

to convince you, you can sprout "ive got BBS LM's........and watch people who know get all gooey"

or you can be normal and love the rims...

what are the other option anyway?

The plan to move to 17" wheels has obviously gone out the window (since R32 brakes won't fit under 17s), so the next thing I'll have to look for will be 18" wheels. My current "dream" set are 18x8 ET35 RS10s, as follows:

They'll probably cost me about $5k landed, so I may have to consider something else
    damn nice lookin wheels though.

Well, an upgraded front swaybar and Haldex controller upgrade was certainly worth doing!

    R32 brakes - worth pursuing?

How available are the standard R32 brakes (at realistic prices), and do they fit under 17" wheels (such as the Bora Sport wheels)? Are they a worthwhile upgrade over the stock brakes on the Bora V6 4Motion?

Hmmm, just found something else annoying. There's a really sharp "sucking" sound" right at the start of acceleration when blipping the throttle when the car is stopped - a "pfft" sound, like air being sucked through a badly sealed pipe/airbox until the pressure buildup closes the gap.

Will get Sebastian to look at that too.
