(resisted using the dancing bananas that it).
Scanned my car this morning, I have a few "intermittent supply voltage" issues, an intermittent flapper motor issue and apparently an open circuit on a rear speaker (yet the speaker works fine).

I paid around $110 delivered, though that may have been on special.Originally posted by qsilverza View PostInterested in the lines from Ingolstadt can you tell me how much and if I need to speak to someone to get some made up the same as yours ? also going to purchase A1rm's
GSLRally Sport are good, Greg will sort you out there. Be aware that A1RMs are quite an aggressive pad, and you will need to consider their characteristics and whether they're suitable for your requirements - the HPX pads may be better suited to regular street use, but talk to Greg about that anyway!

cheers for the advice Manaz. The exhaust shop said they could make any style I wanted and could achieve a variety of sound and had examples in the shop too so they certainly seemed confident they could set me up with something very similair to the Remus. Think I'll go down that path when the time comes!

Honestly, the custom built one will probably be close to the remus as long as it's well fabricated from decent materials - good welding, mandrel bends and decent resonator/muffler and it'd be great. Spend the $400 on something elseOriginally posted by Gravey View Postconsidering exhausts for my v5 atm...not sure wether to go after market or custom. I can get a custom stainless setup built for $900ish. A Remus cat-back will set me back around $1300 apparently from a local installer.

Update time!
I'd kinda forgotten about this thread!
What's happened since the last update:
* K-Sport coilovers gone, Bilstein PSS9s installed.
* R32 steering wheel come and gone.
* Air intake from DSG-equipped Euro-spec Mk4 R32 fitted.
The car just keeps getting better. The ride on the Bilsteins is better on the road than the K-Sports (more controlled and yet more supple at the same time), and should be better on the track as well.
I had an R32 steering wheel for a while, but passed it on to someone else. Things are happening there to make me happier again.
The air-intake mods seem good - power seems smoother, measured airflow was higher than prior to the upgrade (though my old panel filter was *filthy*, which may have had a part in that). Will see how things go long term.
I've got a TyrolSport brake caliper pin upgrade, new rotors (from ECS), new pads (QFM A1RMs from GSL RallySport), braided lines (HEL/Goodridge lines from Ingolstadt Autosport) to fit. I've got a set of wheels available to me now for track work, will get getting track tyres fitted to those shortly.
I've just about finalised the purchase of a Unibrace for the car, and am starting to investigate front strut braces (upper and lower).
In not so good news, the car broke down last night. Thought it was the fuel pump, but it ended up being the in-tank sender units - so I'm up for $500 or so by the time they're sourced and fitted, but at least then I shouldn't have to worry about fuelling for a while. Also having a new fuel filter fitted whilst I'm at it, to be safe.

I don't mind the single tip actually...Originally posted by AusScare View PostWould make it sound pretty good, some of the youtube vids are awesome.
That single tip would need changing though.
If it makes it sound anything like a modded vr6 zorst, then it'll be worth it.

haha, yeah, Seb did mention that he didn't modify the height from whatever the previous owner had them set to...Originally posted by nashan View PostLooks about the same height as my car when i had my coilovers...wait...they are my coilovers! haha
Glad to see the install went good. Hope your liking them! Car looks good mate.

I'm not sure if the venting in the rears is directional, I will ask the question though for slotting and venting. I've seen them both ways as well, and have even seen some manufacturers specify one way for some of their products and the other way for others.Originally posted by Treza360 View PostHmmm... I'd just do a double check that they have been fitted on the correct sides. From what I've seen it is normally common practice for the slots to face in the other direction. That said I have seen them the way yours are installed.
However it is the directional venting veins that are more important and is worth checking to make sure that they are going in the right direction. If not they won't be cooling properly.
GAP stocked the EBC Sport rotors for a brief period of time (probably not starting until after you looked) up until a few months ago - I was all set to buy a set, but they vanished off the GAP website. Here's the response I received when I asked what'd happened:Originally posted by Treza360 View PostI spoke to quozl about EBC rotors a last year when I did my fronts. When he enquired about the sport rotors back in 2006 or something EBC had never actually made a batch of them. They had all the specs and CAD drawings and some development ones etc (which I imagine are the photos on the websites you see) but they'd never actually made any batches of them.
GAP didn't even stock the fronts last year when I did all this and EBC Australia wasn't interested and I didn't get a response from any of the overseas stores that did as they just refused to ship to Australia.
Mine are just the stock OEM rotors which I had machined locally. ECS do the same thing with their slotted rotors too.
"We are not handling the EBC rotors for that application at this time due to some quality issues with them."
I asked if there were specific details, and got this as a reply:
"We had many customers report noise and/or vibration and return them."
At the same time, I'd had a set brought in and due for machining. Apparently the rotors "failed" (I can only assume structurally) during the slotting process - and RDA (who were doing the work) said it was not an issue with their process - leaving only the rotors as being the fault.
I've seen the ECS get the stock rotors slotted, and know that quozl uses them - that's an option for me down the track. GSL Rallysport are investigating another option for me - if that goes well, I'll be sure to let people know.
The front's going down a fraction, and the back is going up to match (it's too low at the back at the moment, and it's causing both camber and ride height issues). In the end, it should be sitting nice and level, just a fraction lower than the front is now. It should be sweetOriginally posted by GoLfMan View Postif the front was a little bit lower I'd say thats the nicest Bora I've seen in Aus
love your work!
