    Group Buy CANCELLED!

Im sorry to say guys, but Im going to have to cancel this group buy now. TMT arent to keen on the group buy and the prices seem to have changed (ie gone up). Im currently short on money and time aswell and the damn exchange rate has gone up, meaning its going to cost about the same to buy them seperately as it will to get them yourself once you factor in postage costs around Australia, aswell as getting them shipped from Europe.

Also lack of payements to me hasnt helped very much, only recieving one payement so far and the deadline was in a few days!

If things change soon and TMT decide to drop the prices on another G/B and the exchange rate gets a bit better, I might give it another go.

    Sorry for the dissapointment guys

Ok so this is the "official" TMTuning badgeless grill group buy thread now.

They will be $86 each, plus shipping to your door (which I will need to work out accordingly)

Deadline for the order will be August 25th. Deadline for payment will be September 1st to my PayPal account (j@meslorenz.com) or bank deposit if you really cant do paypal payement.

Please let me know if you are 100% down for one and I will add your name to the list.

would it be cheaper to combine shipping for a couple of ABS Boser bonet extensions as well or just buy em separate?

I'm interested to know the answer to that shipping question too..Because it would be a good pair of things to buy at the same time

Regarding the Boser bonnets, do you have to do somthing to the bonnet release? Can you still reach the lever that releases it?

if they can be included in this one, then postage will be cheaper.

I know they don't weigh much but they also have maximum parcel sizes, also consider that Lorenz is organising the group buy, its alot of effort on his side...

I know it might be cheaper to include then, but it'd be fairer if there was another group buy for the 'Bosers.

Just a little addition to the badgeless grille buy.

I was wondering once we get the grilles in, who will be getting them sprayed? Seeing as everything seems to be cheaper on bulk, why don't we organise a group spray, so those that need silver can get it done at once, thus saving cash.

Or how bad ass does it look to leave it black?

I have a maroon car, so dark is ok. But might need it colour coding.

                      Any thoughts guys?

You have to get it colour coded unless your going for a black look and are using cans. I've seen someone get a wing painted direct from the chassis colour code disregarding the actual colour of the car. And it ended up looking like utter crap and failed to match. Considering that each car needs to be coded I can't see that a group buy could be possible. ALTHOUGH a group spray may be in order if everyone manages to get a hold of their own paint, $30-35 per 1/2 L of coded paint. Thats more than enough to paint a grill.

Hmnn painting mine black gives me some ideas hmnn... PK0080 anyone?

Yeah the issue of colour coding to cars did cross my mind. Wouldn't want to just spray it and get it wrong. That's where the black thought came in. So, what's this PK0080 you speak of?

Haha its just a colour code I have memorised, gloss black, looks great with a coat of clear on top. You could always just put clear on the ABS plastic, but then it will just look like plastic with a bit of clear on the top. I'd personally prime it with plastic primer, another coat or two of generic primer and then 2 coats of clear. It'll come up nice and shiny, but then again thats around $40 just in paint cans. You could probably do 4-5 grilles with that much product though.

If your worried about painting the grill and costs, go down to Autobarn and they can now match your paint for about $27 a can and paint it yourself which really isnt hard.

Sorry guys Im not too keen on getting other stuff sent over aswell this time. Will just add to the shipping costs and get too out of hand in the end. Sorry but just sticking to the grills.
