So, i guess the next question is how this could be a mix up on the rego papers as it was advertised as a 1.8 CL and is on paper that way too.
Is there anywhere i can check the VIN or engine No to confirm?
Thanks for all your help.

Well, i have been slack updating this thread too. After a couple of cleans, a few little additions and a few weeks, i've got round to taking shots of my MK3.
Since purchasing, i've added smoked side repeaters, a VR6 front lip and a MK4 Engine cover badge on the tailgate.
Now i need to get paid before i can continue my work
Here she is:

Yeah i was lucky with the full colour coding, so saves me having to do a massive job sanding and smoothing to paint, should the urge ever take me.
And those lower plastic trims are bugging me for sure. So is the spoiler. I'm gonna give the black shoe polish a go, and if that's not good enough, then the paint will follow.
Was happy with the smoked repeaters too, and they're pretty cheap and yet a simple subtle addition.

I know you have probably heard it a hundred times already but those lower plastic trims need a coat of black paint//:MK3 Golf/2.0/15's/Stock Height/Smoked Repeaters/Mk4Badge/Alpine Head Unit

Lookn great there mate. As I say to everyone, nothing better for handling and looks than a nice drop in height and a set of HotTuning coilovers and for sure the best bang for buck for suspension
Smoked side indicators are a great little touch aswell!sigpic

HotTuning Coilovers will probably be the suspension of choice, once i sell my Ibiza that's sitting at home. I'll pile the coin into this car for sure!
