Anyways this shouldn't be a sob story about me, that's heaps gay. This is about the car lol. I'll let you all know what happens if anything happens soon.
i've thought about giving up many a time - it always seems to be in these 3 months leading up to christmas. rego, insurance, maintenance; everything adds up. I know what you mean. but it's christmas! everyone is broke! lol!
keep the wheels. save your money and get some spacers. with the car as low as it is, they will look friggan epic on there.
when you think about it, what is a little more time anyway? can you drive it like it is? if so, patience will pay off.
I've been driving around with a half finished car-pc because i can't afford to buy the PSU for it. It isn't really that expensive but other things like timing belts pop up and cause problems. welcome to the world of the mk3.

yea hang in there Mickey.
when my timing chain shat itself i had enough. i was looking around for bora's and audi a4's lol. i couldnt deal with the crap that kept on going wrong with the vr. but i stuck by it and just think...the more you fix the better and less work will be needed in the future lol...im glad i kept the vr because in the end its a fun little car
hope u get back up buddy

Hahaha oh man...too many words of encouragement on here to even have a choice
I'm going to measure up what I need today if I can be bothered jacking up the car (that is stupidly hard with my height lol) so I'll see what size spacers I needMrk Detailing, premium automotive detailing. Paint correction/protection specialist. PM me

Alright so I measured up the wheels...as far as I can see they'll need around 10-15mm spacers. I can't measure that accurately, but that's what I got.
It's so unfair...they look so good on the back already (had to replace bald tyres today..)
WHY couldn't VW have just used 288mm brakes in all VR's so the caliper didn't stick out two suburbs wide?!Mrk Detailing, premium automotive detailing. Paint correction/protection specialist. PM me
