ARGH! I can't even get my jack under the back as it is! Looks like it will be a project for tomorrow with brake bleeding. Need some awesome wooden planks... *strokes chin*

VW: it aint just a car, its a way of life There are few things more satisfying in life than finding a solution to a problem and implementing it

That looks pretty damn sweet mate. Have you dropped the rear as well?
Welcome to everyday life for me with trying not to destroy your lip on car parking spaces. Always fun. Start enjoying driving sideways (and not the fun tailout with lots of smoke type).
Cheers,
Trent
Hahaha...nobody really knows what's in there do they?
I bought Ray's Koni/Ground-Control setup. The setup is red koni shocks (damper adjustable) with a set of eibach springs matched to ground-control coilover sleeves with an adjustable thread. They're wound right down on the front and need more winding down on the rear..it was level in Ray's car, it's most likely due to the fatty of an engine I own...
I'll hopefully get it wound down tomorrow and take some good piccies for yall

Oh n BTW Ray's Mk3 in a GL and yours is a VR6. Is there a difference in suspension, hubs, lengths, tops etc? Or is it bcuz Ray went 5speed VR wide track and modified his supsension?

Bloody hell
Hahaha...Ray's got NOTHING right now! Well....he's got two jackstands and my rear suspension lol. He can update his thread when he gets his suspension
I'm not too sure about the suspension on the front, but i'm almost certain the suspension on the back is a straight swap for whatever mk3 you have. the fronts...well...I wouldn't imagine they'd be different, but I could be way off

GL suspension swap straight for VR6. The way they mount are the same. Only difference between what you buy for a GL and VR6 when it comes to struts and springs are the damper force and spring rate I assume. Those springs I had were rated harder than aftermarket lowering springs so they should have no problem carrying the weight of a VR6.
I think it's the same reason why Hottuning coilovers sit so bloody low! Since they're also for a Mk2, fitting them in a Mk3 means more weight compressing the springs... That's what I think anyway, and I think it will work fine for me
It does dude! Wow it's amazing hey...I can finally whip it round corners and it follows my eyes! I haven't quite got your stance yet Louis but I'm getting there

all the mounting is the same but vr6's have heavy duty rubbers up top on the front.
Wow!, looks tops dude. Just be prepared to slow down for EVERYTHING. If the speed hump looks pretty small, don't underestimate it. You'll get a godawful sound of your front lip kissing pavement. Everything is now an obstacle haha...
It's the price we pay for good looks. Oh, and don't be surprised if you find yourself taking some corners at ridiculous speeds, it happened to me as well.
Oh, one more thing, you may want to be a bit careful going over bumps with people in the car. Tyre SCRAPAGE
