If I had to place a bet I would say coil. We have had to replace 2 over the years (and 250,000k's). Has it leaked out any black gunk?

Probably coil. Update your location mate, there may be someone round the corner who can help you.

Thanks Guys I'm in Berwick in Vic. I haven't had a look yet, my mate gave her a tow home, so I will have a look this arvo. Anyone know a good parts supplier around my area south eastern Melb. And thanks again on other forums I have been on you get shouted down for asking questions not the great help you get here.

Ouch is this a dealer? genuine or aftermarket? Also is it for 2.0l or vr6? Give camdengti a ring and see what price he can do

              Imparts.

I got my coil off them in early 2007 for $140 IIRC. Dealership was $250. Same unit, same manufacturer.

Mine went like turning off a switch - 100% working to 0% working

I've got a few bits and pieces from a Seat Cordoba and the the front 1/2 of a Vento I wrecked. The coil was used to start the Cordoba and test drive it it for 10 minutes before I stripped it.

Best to ask if you're after anything specific.

No worries Peter, it was the coil started straight away once I fitted it.
                        Thanks Travo
