  • Are air bag controllers interchangeable?

I may need to replace my controller and I'm not sure if any VR6 one will work or do I need to get one with matching numbers to the one that I already have?

I would have thought that the numbers need to match?

    Thanks in advance

Airbag light is on but vcds is unable to read the controller.

Am arranging a replacement with matching numbers. See if that makes a difference.

all good i just read your post in the build thread

you could always just do what most of the mk3 owners do when things dont work

Ordered one from the UK with matching numbers for $30.

          See what happens...
