  • Anyone know if MK1 and MK3 door handle rubbers are the same?

Hey guys, just wondering if MK1 and MK3 door handle gasket rubbers are the same? Autohaus has MK1 items in stock, only other way to get them seems to be to buy a complete new unit which I wanted to avoid is possible.

    Cheers

Simon, doubt they would be. Both use different handles.

Had a look on VAGCAT (online version of ETKA) and they're different part numbers. Mk1 = 171837211A, Mk3 = 1H0837211B.

Edit - I suppose with that part number (I think it's the right one? Click the link and double check anyway) you could try call up VW Australia or try a parts dealer for it!

Sweet thanks Steve. I didn't really want to have to buy the whole unit and change the locks over etc if i didn't have to.

No worries and when you get them this will now give you the excuse to blacken your door handles cause they are off
