Effin window!

Anyone know if there is a simple fault to a front door passenger window going down on its own accord? Sometimes it will come back up if I push the up button on either door, though rarely by the drivers door switch. If I push up, it can go up, or down; depending on how much of a funny bugger it wants to be. Then when the window is up, give it 10 seconds and it'll drop a bit, then a bit more if it feels like it, and then maybe all the way. Mostly when its pouring rain just to piss me off.

sounds like a short somewhere on one of the switches. Ive probly got some spare somewhere if u need to test

I smell a problem with the window motor. But like Tim says a short?? Maybe mate or water ingress somewhere.

Got this problem too, solved by DIY window switch replacement, it's running perfectly now I also cleaned the motor so the window will go up and down smoothly

i had that problem a while back, and it was to do with a faulty ignition switch.

Hope its that as they are like $30 and about 2hrs of work to replace, a new window motor is around $500, around $200 secondhand

sounds like you have to reset your windows

turn your key in the DS door lock so that all the windows go down, then do it so all the windows go up. unlock it and then try the window again...should work. if not i'lll tell you another way
