A recessed Liberty style scoop would look good i recon, but that looks like a blended WRX scoop.

real cages are made of CAMS spec rollcage tubing, which is mild steel anyway.

why not throw in some HOTTUNING coilovers and use them to jack it up? like loon did with his caddy.

is it noisy without all the stuff in the back now?

also, make sure you cooling system is tip top - those lights would make a difference for flow into the radiator -

Don't hottuning coils have a minmum drop anyways? I was talking to josh today, and apparenty they're 40-120mm.* So they'd be dropped a min of 40mm as it is..? (but would look much cooler dropped 120mm )

            *for mk 1's anyways.

I'd love to get coilovers, if for the better damping than anything else. BUt i'd jack it up for DoVW.

                    • hahaha, i have a vid like that. It starts off, all forest sounds. Tjhe camera is facing an embankment on the inside of a sweeping corner. The muffled sound of a VR6 with a BMC can be heard rowing through the gears. Suddenly, a great white blur rushes onto the screen, slidding past the camera in a cocophany of noise and dust, only to disapear just as quickly....

Then you can see me running back to my phone to stop the camera.

                      • OH yeah, i have some news today as well. I got the lower fog lights wired up today. I also finnished my boot install.

I decided not to go full rally in the boot. I plan to go to QLD next year, so i built the boot to suit both needs. So the end result is a Touring/Rally kinda set up. Everything i need can go in there to tackle the australian safari if need be. The car can now be fitted with a big fridge (a hard day of slogging through the forest deserves beer), as well as hold my swag or tent, food, spares (including a full size spare tire), and i don't have to go without my 10"subbie, 3way splits, or 2 amps.

There are pics in car audio, but i have made changes today, and they will need to be updated.
