My god, it looks so tough now!
the front ones are about an inch from the ground when parked, 300mm wide, and bright red!
the rears are a bit smaller, and not as low.
I'll wash the car during the week, and take some pics.
I'll also get rid of the black head light surrounds, and the cups where the other lights should be.

Car is looking great though!!
You could also drop any of the fog light mounting screws or bolts etc in some acid to give them a nice fresh silver shine!
Blew out a tire yesterday, so had to buy a cheapy. Bob jane's Xenon!
When that dies, i'm going to go to a taller tire, and standard hight springs.
I'm thinking of using a 196/60 15 for an all out rally look, without buying $238 yokohama rally tires (which only come in a 185/60 r 15 anyway)
Has anyone ever fitted such a tall tire on one of these?
I know the speedo will be out.
I know i might rub.
But i will be on standard springs, at standard hight.

stripped the interior out today, all the back half.
No more subbie, no boot install, no rear seats, no pannels.
I'm going to make a thin faulse floor to cover the spare tire well, and under seat space. Just a 3mm ply, painted black. I'm also repalcing the rear door trims with 3mm ply, painted black. I will get a full size spare, on a steel mk4 rim, or if i can get one, a color concpt alloy, painted black.
I will then mount a fire extinguisure just behind the front seats, where the back seat would have been.

no pics, but more mods!
Got the exhaust modded today, gone are the twin 2.5" rolled lip chrome tips, in favour of a single 3" mild steel tip, painted black. Its the toughest looking tip i have ever seen. IMHO.
What do you recon a Half cage is worth?
Got a quote today. for a 4 point half cage, in 2" mild steel, bent, and supplyed, but not fitted, Is $150. I would have to weld feet to the tubes so i could bolt it down, and use Scafold joiners where the top hoop meets the rear bars, to make the cage removable.
