Bought the module, unfortunately no instructions on what each wire does.
I have narrowed it down a bit though from searching on forums and what not but I don't have the same one as everyone else.
In order from top to bottom in the photo.

Pink and Orange - Horn and boot release.

    These two were thick;
    Black - -12V
    Red - +12V

Purple - Indicator Flash x2 cables from one pin
    Yellow/Black - ?
    Yellow - ?
Green and Blue - Windows up/down
    Brown - ?
    Grey - ?

Any help appreciated, I have found the wiring for the car end so I should be good with regards to that, I just need to figure out the module.

I've tried a continuity tester from each unknown wire to ground and pressing keys on the remote but got nothing. Thought I'd be able to figure them out that way.

      Finally figured it out.

      YELLOW/BLACK - COMMON (ground)
      YELLOW - UP (unlock)
      GREEN - (not connected)
      BLUE - COMMON (ground)
      BROWN - DOWN (lock)
      GRAY - (not connected)

Phew, now to connect it to the car!

            lol, had problems.
            Fixed them.
            New wiring as follows.

            YELLOW/BLACK - COMMON (+12V) (White/Red on car)
YELLOW - UNLOCK (green on car)
            GREEN - (not connected)
            BLUE - COMMON (+12V) (White/Red on car)
BROWN - LOCK (grey on car)
            GREY - (not connected)

last edit and those connections are final and correctly colour coded.

Is this just a cheap eBay module?
Key-less entry is definitely something i want but don't need ahah.

Yeah, bought one from a local seller ~$18 well worth it. Highly recommended. Make sure you have a wire stripper because it means you won't have to cut any wires on the VW cables, very useful.

How the finished product looks. Doubled sided tape to secure the box.

I didn't take photos during installation, it was raining and forgot.

                    Was it an easy install?
My central locking doesnt work but i still think keyless entry would be so handy.

If your central locking doesn't work keyless entry won't do anything as it wires into your central locking. The module basically imitates your key in the driver's/passenger's side lock.

Easy if you have instructions at the start for the unit, I didn't, so it took a while until I found them.
Should only take you an hour or two.

Got mine installed today, talk me all up about 40 minutes including a trip to super cheap. Thanks for doing the hard yards stefcio!

Probably the most satisfying bang for buck mod i have done yet.

No more people waiting for you to get to the car when they make it there first! Which happens often with kids.

cliftronix have you managed to hookup the horn? I think I'd need to run a cable down the length of the car to connect it. Otherwise indicators are enough of a notification at the moment.

I got the indicators working and due to the fact i hate wiring in car that's probably how i am going to leave it. I did think of just adding a second horn or buzzer in the back, that's just pure laziness though.
