not much in a proper tutorial but MCM does a pretty good overview in their mk3 golf video on the basics on how to sorta install coilovers, it's a good idea before you start to just have a quick look.

Yeah mate, its not installing them thats the problem its i don't have the tools, but one of my mates does so they will be installed tomorrow.. And so will allllllll the other goodies that have arrived.

Dash lights blew, was in need of an update.


Broke 2 clips that hold the dash in, i think the last owner ripped apart the whole console and broke every clip and holder, because if it doesn't have a fracture mark, its not there. Hell, he even went to the trouble of cutting of the airbag led... maybe i should look into this...

Anyway, this was a b**ch to get out!

I put the new bulbs in and wondered why the colour was still green. Had to take the whole thing out just to remove this stupid colour thing.



And finally the outcome with the superbright led's in. Looks mint, heaps better than the green.

I want to do that LED swap as well, which LEDs is it? Also want to swap the green LCD filter but I hate doing anything with electronics

Thats the exact replacement LED bulb.
The green strip can be removed by simply clicking out the light holder and lifting it out, mine was harder as it had fallen into the actual speedo. Is an easy swap, guide here if you get lost! VWVortex.com - mk3 gauge cluster removal walkthru

Do you know how to replace the LCD filter? Read a DIY on it once but it said you needed to remove dials and the LCD's in order to change it :/ URGH!
