Oh and I also fitted 6K HID's and got rear ended by an Xtrail. Lol. As you can see in the rear photo of the car, where the GL badge is. So that is also another job, to fix that because I didn't have insurance at the time ( good one lel)

The car is looking nice with white paint, gunmetal wheels and a bit of a lowering. Very clean. Headlights look good as they are, I wouldn't bother getting cheapies from overseas.

I just read your thread and cannot believe how much bad luck you've had. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here on.

Yeah.. And to top it off I could possibly be losing my licence lol.

As for the headlights, because of the HID's to have them legal I'd need projector lenses. So that's why I'm opting to get some sort of aftermarket headlight which incorporates the lense. But I'm not sure. The light doesn't shoot off too much with the factory lenses so as for that I'm not sure. My main focus at the moment is to get the exterior sorted so I don't have to come back to it for a while. I.e foglight inserts, things like that. So it looks a little more complete. I have also tried to find the french yellow bulbs and that's proving to be an issue lol. And some form of aftermarket bucket seats for the interior. I mean, I can run VR6 seats and even that's hard to find so I'm at a dead end at the moment and just have to keep my eyes open I guess.

Dug some photo's up off my phone lol.

As for the foglights, the ones I used were these.

LF-VWCA93-TYC-L-A TYC Fog Light - Left Assembly at Andy's Auto Sport
LF-VWCA93-TYC-R-A TYC Fog Light - Right Assembly at Andy's Auto Sport

I picked them up from a member of this forum for $70 for the pair, was a steal since I had been looking for them for a long time. They are the smoked model though. Not the exact same model (smoked) but the same brand and the same price he paid for them. They came brand new in box when I bought them and hadn't been opened yet.

Some photos I had taken when I purchased them.

They're projectors too and take H3 bulbs. Really simple to install and was relatively quick too. Made up a custom loom for them as the factory foglight loom didn't exist. Wired it into the existing foglight switch and ran an inline fuse within the loom too for protection.
