  • Dylan's MK3 Golf build

    Hey all,

This is the start of my build on my new MK3 golf. Purchased her after my old car blew up because someone had stolen my sump plug. Had a $3,000 budget and needed to find a car asap. After days of searching, I came across this baby. A MK3 Golf. Has 150,000 k's, interior and exterior are immaculate, exhaust and a stereo and that's it. I'm planning on doing a stance build on her but may even go for that clean look. Keep a keen eye out on this thread!

In the mean time, here are some photos ^_^

How does someone get under your car and take a sump plug? and wouldn't you have noticed oil everywhere / low oil light? Regardless just another reason that you should #lowerit

My old car was a hilux haha. Didn't notice it because I leave for work at 3.30am and get home late lol. #ElectricianLife. I'm starting my fixes tonight when I can be bothered lol. Starting with fixing my front lip and exhaust heatshield :3

Thanks for the comments. It's good to know there's a nice community out there bahaha.

Just a little update. In my previous photos you may notice that my lip was crossing over so I pulled it off (hah) and re-attached it in the correct place.

Got the car cleaned up and ready to go on a cruise to Lithgow via bells line of road. Here are some photos from the cruise.

When my tax comes through, it's time for a set of JOM coilovers and some new wheels! I need my guards rolled so if anyone knows a place in Sydney who does rolling and is decently priced, please let me know either in a PM or just post here, thanks! ^_^

Judging by the amount of gap that you have between your tyre and arch up front, then i highly doubt rolling your guards is your solution let alone your problem to your scrubbing issue.

Are you sure it's not scrubbing on your inner arches when turning?
