    Thinking of some fogs.
I have the switch, I have the wiring harness already installed.
    I know I need relay 110.
Is eBay the best place to get them? Why does it seem that the fogs available will leave a gap?
The front panel has 3 sections. One for the indicator and the other two are covered by one 2 section covering dummy.
This dummy would come out but the fog lights I've seen are only 1 section wide and would leave an empty spot. Am I supposed to get 1 section wide covers?
Couldn't find much about this, wondering if anyone has installed them.

    Don't need relay 110 - that's for US models.
Yes there will be a gap so you'll need to purchase a "tow-eye cover." (I actually need a set too because I lost mine).
Ad for the fog lights themselves, try find some Hella ones - the Depo ones from Latvia off eBay are questionable...

I'm only getting 3V out of the fog light cable when the fog switch is on and the car is running. Is it supposed to be this low? I thought it'd give 12V. Hence why I thought I needed a relay.

I found some "oem style" ones from China that look to be almost identical to the oem ones, they're not the cheapest either so I assume they can't be that bad.

Hmmm. Do you have the little metal jumper where #110 is supposed to be in your fuse box? Also check that you have a 10V fuse in slot (10?).
I've got #110 and had no need for it as it only allows fogs to be used with headlights and not parkers and headlights.

Eh, its mainly build quality and wiring that I don't like about the imitation stuff. I had polarity issues with the Depo ones I bought

I have a horizontal jumper where #110 is supposed to be. I do have a 10A fuse for the fogs and I've checked it and it's fine.

Okay. Does it go from bottom left to top right? That's what I've got paired with the 10v fuse and it all works fine.

ok, I was looking at the wrong fuse. The one for the fogs is a 15A 32V. It's the stock fuse. Shouldn't make a difference since a fuse is only there to break if the current goes above its rating, it doesn't actually have any resistance right? (and hence a voltage drop across it).

It looks like the horizontal one in this photo or as it's labelled here as "bridge".

Exact same setup as mine. You should be set to go

I'm stumped. Tried a simple 12V light attached to the connector and nothing. Tried all types of lighting combos on the switch and headlight and car running and car off. I can run this light off a 12V battery fine.
I'm out of ideas, unless both sides have to be connected? but that wouldn't make sense because one of your fog's globes could stop working and then both would be out.
                  What gives?

By the way, the green fog indicator light on the switch does light up if that means anything.

That's only a rear fog switch. You need the euro one that has two little fog light pictures like mine

Then u don't have a fog light switch. Which means u most likely won't have any wiring for the fogs.
Are u sure your one looks EXACTLY like that ? (Except its rhd)
Do u have a plug hanging behind the places where the fog lights get placed in ?
                          Pics ?

Haha u got your answer, never mind my post. U have a standard golf headlight switch.

You don't need a euro switch to fire up the front fogs. I have the stock single pop switch like stef has posted above and it powers my fogs fine. But that doesn't mean you'll have the wiring harness.

Does the wiring harness include cables that run to the front? because I have those cables hooked on the left and right lower plastic grills things just below where fogs should go. The cables are plugged into a socket that prevents them from dangling about.

As I said before though, I'm getting 3V from these cables so they must be connected at least to something.
