Loom running to washers on VR6 bonnet, nothing on the vento yet washers still work?

So my question is.. what is this loom for? (golf bonnet)



plugged into here (until I cut it because I couldn't get the plug out .. ops) how on earth do you anyway?




and the Vento bonnet doesn't have it

Heated washers, take it off the Golf bonnet if you want it on the Vento one.

I was hoping it was for mad neon washer lights.
What's the story with the heated washers Gavin? Only on certain models or early/late thing?

Not sure how they were delivered. Most European GTIs had them to the best of my knowledge. Can't say for lesser models, never had one

Can confirm that my washer loom also has the extra pin for heated washers - mind you mine is a CL so maybe all models were shipped with the same loom and it was just an option?

Thanks for all the replies guys,

Mine is a 98 model.. So the last of the mk3's unfortunately I never even thought about it so I never tested to see if they were heated.

It was all plugged in though before I cut it as I couldn't get the stupid plugs apart
