I have had a poke around and am gathering some info on doing the timing belt on an ADZ (1997 CL 1.8 ), a mechanic (according to the previous owner) advised that the timing belt was urgent, and you can indeed hear it.
Basically looking for mass links/ideas etc. so I can judge whether the job is out of my league, what kits are good/duds, minimum parts required. Not looking to spend much on this cracker but also want to prolong its life.

Manual, wind down windows (very exciting after 6 years and 4 other Mk3s with electric and their crummy regs)

Car came with actual clearcoat on the roof, half a tank of fuel, AND $11.20 in change (instant purchase price deduction).
Thinking of vinyl wrap and VR6 twin-turb.... no no, just the timing belt.
