  • buying a MK3 Cab.

My Girlfriend wants to sell the yaris and buy a MK3 Cab. What motors are availibe in the cabs, what should i look for when buying one? What would be the best one to buy?

    What are they worth?

Mk3 cabs are all 2.0's. There are basically two types, one with a mk3 front and an updated model with a mk4 front. (Known as a mk3.5) Most later ones have leather but earlier ones have cloth seats too. The wheels are all 14's and generally look tiny. A lowered Cab on 17's would look awesome. A lot of cars for sale seem priced for dreamers only.. I don't think buying a really cheap one would be a good idea. A lot of the parts are sure to be unique to the Caby, but the running gear will be all the same tried and tested stuff.

Thats what I thought anyway, please correct me if i'm wrong.

I suppose with all drop-tops, make sure the roof-lining is in good condition and have no rips or leaks?

        There are 1.8L ones too.

I`d get the 2L manual with Leather

Oli has two real nice ones I`m sure he`d sell you one. PM him
        Freight to Melb is peanuts.

The only bits that will be hard to get are the anything relating to the doors or the side trim pieces as there are not many cabrios about.
