  • My VR, some pics and Q's

Some updated photos of my VR6.

Kinda like my work in progress...
Just removed the wheel arch flares and waiting on extra trim to finish it off.
Was thing of painting the unreflective bits of inside the headlights black but not sure what it would look like on a black car. Any opions??

also thining of wheel spaces, especially for the back. what size do u guys reckon? and is it difficult to roll the gaurds?

    Any opinions or recommendations welcome

    Cheers everone
    Eric

Nice work Eric, however you will need to remove your VR trims on the side and opt for the GL ones cause there will be a difference in them!

This is what I am doing going GL sides With spacers its not that hard to roll the guards a proper tyre shop should be able to do it for you no troubles they just have to roll the guards and heat them up As for the spacers it would be 30s I reckon easy!

That is a sweet looking ride.

The wheels look really good, they look like the stock vr6 wheels but bigger. I can see that they are BBS but what model are they?

they're in the shed. only had em on cos I was moving house. they vibrate at high speeds so they had to come off.

thanks mate. I notice you have been after those kamei intakes for awhile now. you would be the first to know if i decide to replace em lol

Excellent pics bruzz!! Let us know how you go with spacers, was thinking of spacing my rears out some. Not sure how I'd go rolling the guards with the plastic flares still on though? Might not be possible if I want to keep them?

If u wanna roll the guards with the flares u need to trim the plastic. Its a bit of a pain.

Also iiii dunno. Its a sweet car. But i reckon it looked tougher with the flares! Im biased though i guess.

Not taking anything away from the car it looks sweet but my personal preference is to keep the flares on, i like their oldskool attitude Was thinking maybe if I needed to trim the flare lips back for guard rolling i could maybe sikaflex them on if I had to remove the area where the rivets go? Sorry for the hijack

sure thing. ill see what i can do. yea its custom bu ti didnt get it done.

yea im ifing and arring. I originally took off the flares to give em a coat of paint but was gradually liking the look of em off... I might put em back on but i dunno yet i like to play around and see what looks good.
