Yeah I was, with some guys on I knew from an old mistu forum I used to be on. Never heard of it so I thought id head down and was suprised at the Golf presence !

Wasn't aware of the meet until later when I spoke to a fella with a mkv Gt on his way out, letting me know the VWGolf.net guys have a monthly meeting. So I'll do my best to make the next also!

Even though the VR6 is a little dated compared to the rest ..

Car is booked in for a bit of a fix up on the 28th

-Front and rear lip + skirts + spoiler resprayed in matt black
-Front and rear bar cleaned up and resprayed
-Left guard dint repaired and I would assume resprayed
-Minute dint I didn't even spot but he did, pulled out
      -Bonnet painted white
-Grill gloss black with apron painted white
-Car gone over with buffer etc (see how the rest of the body turns out)

Doors still have dings etc all over them, but on such an old car people don't care about it and I can see it happening again within a day..

Quoted $1500 not a bad deal I reckon? (through GF's uncles contact, dunno how much pull I had when I mentioned it LOL)

Though he resprayed a family members car for a bit over 2k I found out haha
Quoted me 3k for complete car, with every scratch, ding, dint etc fixed but not worth it

$1.5k That sounds very reasonable to me.
Remember its all the little things, paint, thinners, sand paper, booth time etc.
Lots of labor involved to do the small little things.

But will look awesome once redone!

Went down to the Ripcurl Pro today and the VR6 went for its longest daily commute yet! Didn't miss a beat and was fun doing some overtaking.. don't know If I got pinned yet doing 107 under a bridge.. but anyways.

Was a good day taking in the waves, having an awesome brunch, and look around!

New replacement smoked indicators arrived while I was in Adelaide
            Steering wheel still hasn't arrived
Probably will get down to my local mech to give her a once over/service on Monday.. just to make sure no little gremlins are hiding about

Really interested to see how this goes. Been looking at exhausts all week. I'm guessing I can't do this mod since I'm still on my red P's right? It would probably only get me unwanted attention from the boys in blue so I might go for something else.

(green P's in less than 2 months , will it change anything? Probably not)

Wouldn't worry about it too much, I am on my P2's and am going ahead with it. So long as its not ridiculously loud, and your not driving like a **** nobody will question it

only way to find out is to test fit them...

the guy that bought my RS's did research and said they'd fit no problems; he ended up needing a 3mm spacer to clear the brakes.

Well mine were 8" wide and +17 and there was the tiniest bit of poke (like 3-5mm) so yours should sit considerably flush
