Vento lights, grill and bonnet picked up today
New mark 4 look-a-like gear knob and gaiter purchased
Smoked indicators coming also
Just working out which front indicator/fog light assembly I am chasing.. will also be smoked. Are all compatible too all mark 3s?

Unless you can tuck them, seeing as though they're 17's, I reckon you could pull it off. They're also something different...

I wouldn't tuck Kai's. Would look ****.

Get your guard to sit just on top of the tread, or tuck the tread only.

Would look phat with those spec tyres

You'll probably need spacers too. 15 front, 20 rear

Thanks guys, I still want function > form I had a E36 BMW and it was so low it would catch in the middle of the car heading up the local maccas driveway and we would have to rock the car to get the rear wheels to touch back down to earth LOL


So in terms of wheel specs, what offset looks good? Max rim/tyre size?

I am assuming 205/45 17s? Now I am going to play dumb and I still don't quite get offsets and how it relates to different cars


Ps. also found these what do you guys think?

Now sitting on 205/40's with +47 offset, how would that look? Sitting in the guard, flush etc? I don't get this ****.. last wheels I bought were a fluke and fitted perf

So I spend a couple of hours today swapping my front end over today!

Now after swapping it all over we realised that the golf bonnet had a full loom through it and all connected it up


Like this.





Which was connected to the car like so





Now the Vento bonnet does not have any of this loom gear, yet when I plug in the washer line she all works (most of the time..)





So I have just taped it up, and everything seems to be ok? Anybody have some suggestions on what it could have been?
