replacement bumper

So my front bumper on the vr6 has a tear in it and am looking for a new one. My Q is, do the non vr6 golfs have the textured strip on the bumper or is it just the vr6?

I think it depends on the year it was built?

I know that anything pre '95 for the CL had textured top bumpers but everything after '96 had full colour coded bumpers but don't quote me on this one

no difference between the vr6 and 4cyl golfs like druce said its pre 95/OBD1 are all textured tops correct me if im wrong and obd2 are smooth/painted

As above. Early models up to 95 texture top and 96> colour coded.
